FOOD

Good food is a priority here at Hayeswood Lodge, which is why each new guest will find a home-made cake on the cake stand in their room.

We will then take great pleasure in serving you a cooked-to-order breakfast the next morning.

Eating In

One of the reasons we have installed kitchenettes in all the rooms, is to give our guests the flexibility of preparing and eating a meal in their room if they would rather stay in. Or for an even easier option, there are several places that deliver take-aways.

We have an excellent local Indian called Raheem's, who deliver, amongst many others who can be found on Just Eat.

Eating Out

We have several options for dining out in the vicinity. The most popular of which is Morley Hayes, where Rooster's Bar serves bar meals all day and the Dovecote Restaurant is ideal for a special occasion. Bookings cannot be made for bar meals, but we would recommend booking a table in the Dovecote.

Also close by is The Rose and Crown, which is a cosy pub serving meals all day. Both are only 5 minutes drive away.

For excellent coffee, scones, cakes, homemade quiches and pies, the Bottle Kiln in West Hallam is hard to beat. It is open 9.30 - 5pm and is only 5 minutes up the road towards Ilkeston. Even closer is Dino's for coffee, cake and panini's.

We are only 15 minutes from Derby, so there are numerous other options available. For a special occasion Darley's by the River does lunch and dinner, and for excellent tapas, head to Iberico in the centre.

Belper has some charming cafe's and is only 15 minutes away, and Nottingham 30 minutes, with a large choice such as Hart's or World Service.
